The commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Free Syrian Army, "Muhannad al-Tala", announced his refusal to participate alongside the forces of the Syrian regime or the Syrian Democratic Forces in the battle for control of the city of Deir al-Zour.
Al-Tala said in an audio recording that he arrived at the al-Dharr al-Shamiya network that his forces at the military base on the Syrian-Iraqi border would not participate with the regime and "SDF" in the battle of Deir al-Zour.
Al-Tlaa revealed the existence of internal and external pressure exerted on him to participate in the battle alongside the "SDF," especially in light of the disintegration and division and the absence of a real body of the FSA in the region.
