Since inception, taxpayers have spent heavily for the three Wisconsin voucher programs: $2.3 billion for Milwaukee, $79.7 million for Racine, and $85.3 million for the state-wide expansion. Currently, every Wisconsinite who pays sales, income or property taxes is helping to pay for 36,249 vouchers which fund private schools, nearly all of which are religious.
Meanwhile, studies show that vouchers do not improve student outcomes...
